Monk in the Midst is a small collection of reflections from someone who is far from a saint and still learning how to pray. These writings come from the middle of ordinary life—family, work, weakness, and grace—and try to make sense of what it means to love God and neighbor in light of the objective reality of Christ's work for us. Drawing on the words of the saints and my own halting steps toward them, I write not as a spiritual giant but as one who stumbles, wrestles, and still hopes to find, in the quiet of the heart, communion with Christ.
